i dont like copper metals because they get too hot and will melt the epoxy. We use the zec wheels which are silicon carbide and do not gum up. Also had really good results using a 50 grit dry granite pad..Normally i used a small variable speed hand grinder with a dust shroud and go dry..

also try using a metal bond diamond. the copper bond diamonds are aggressive and can do the trick

I am doing a large Terrazzo restoration with a lot of patch work 4"x4" 3" round holes etc. who has found the fastest/best way to take down/flatten the initial patch after it sets up.
