Epoxy Grout is a tough Grout to pull. I have used an isolation tool. But as Dr. Fred said...how big are the gaps? Also...what size are the tiles and how much sf are you dealing with?
Do you have another option to restore without the need to pull out the Grout? Powder honing an option?
I have had experience removing epoxy grout. Found it very hard to tool up for and control the cut as the grout was much harder than the stone. They might be wanting to remove the grout to do a design color change in which case I suggest that you offer color seal in consultation with Dick at Grout Perfect. Less risk and a better result for you and your customer.
