John, I agree that grouting before grinding will be the way of doing it but in this case I  sold color seal before job evolved to flattening the floor. Grout joints were very deep and I didn't think I would grind down to the grout. It is not an issue anyway since we got about 20 lines flush with the tile out of 500 sq ft but I wanted to ask just in case customer will like that flat looking floor.
