just like you did in the beginning. Have an arsenal of option to try before
you start, then work the floor letting the floor tell you its response. Then
after each step ask the client what they think. But most of this will be
accomplished by working the floor,having your products at hand, of course
your clients presents. I have spent 1.5 hrs doing a sample before client
makes up their mind and accepts the look.

I personally in this situation would as mentioned before go to the 400s Ask
the client if its looking close to what they want, if it is then maybe apply
a light application of your color enhancer.
