Hi Adam,

Do you know what kind of terrazzo this is...or how old it is?

Partners,
I was asked to polish terrazzo floor in the basement, where moisture prevents use of sealers or waxes. In the past they had to strip the floor and reseal when moisture turned the coatings white. Currently the floor is covered with urethane based sealer that holds a little better but wears like other topical coatings. Now they want to get rid of the sealers and polish the terrazzo. They are not worry about the sheen level but they want to eliminate future stripping. I realize that there is no easy way to stop the moisture coming but will it help if I use densifier to close terrazzo porosity? Would you also use impregnating sealer in this kind of situation?
