Hi Partners,

I have something very important I would like to mention to you. Part of my job as your Chief Technical Director is to keep you informed on important matters that pertain to you.

Currently, and over the past few years, OSHA has been cracking down on contractors all over the country. Until recently the stone industry was not a big target. Now due to some deaths and major injuries in our industry, OSHA is going after fabricators, restoration contractors and others in this industry. For those of you who have had OSHA show up with one of their surprise inspections, you know how unnerving this can be. It surprises me how many of you are not aware of what OSHA is or, more importantly, what you are legally required to have in place in order to be compliant, not to mention to be prepared when OSHA comes knocking. Please note that if you have even one employee --- even a temporary employee, you are required by law to have a Safety / HAZCOM program in place.

What's more, I have been getting a few frantic calls from a few of you asking for a safety program because you are wanting to bid on a job but the contract requires that you have a safety program in place.

From another perspective, I have personally been called is as an expert witness on cases where an employee was killed or hurt badly -- and almost all of the time, had proper safety training and reasonable safety efforts been exercised, these accidents could have been avoided.

As Partners I want to make sure you succeed in your businesses. If you are not compliant or aware of this, fines can literally put you out of business. For this reason I have been working closely with Debbie and the programming team to put together a program to make sure you have everything that OSHA is going to require.

You will find that the program, www.safeandcompliant.net, makes it very fast, simple and very affordable -- even for the smallest company -- to be safe and compliant.

Here are just a few of the features you will find on the program:
To learn more, give Debbie a call so she can give you a tour of the program, or visitwww.safeandcompliant.net
