I saw a guy remove 5000
SF of ¼ sanded grout with an 5” Alpha Echo Cutter “EC-125” .
Very cool tool ……. One square foot of 4”x4” tile has more
than 3 times as much and more as a 12” tile. Here in (central New Mexico) a handyman
charges a minimum of $2.30 per square foot to re-grout 12” porcelain or
ceramic tiles with the same color sanded or un-sanded grout. I’ve done a
small amount of grout repairs to quarry tiles and found it difficult and time
consuming. I would use an epoxy grout in
a commercial kitchen. According to my neighbor who does commercial construction
they charge 2 X when using epoxy grout. Good luck……

Subject: [sccpartners] commercial kitchen
Hi I went to look at a commercial kitchen that needs
regrouting the tiles are 4 by 4s with a 1/4 to half inch grout lines. I usally
use a razor or fein to remove smaller grout lines what is the best thing to use
for this size grout lines. What type of grout would you recomend for a
comercial kitchen and how would you charge.
Thanks in advance
