Roger,
No spinner will remove acrylic or any coating. It will make it worst, when water get under neat it will turn that coating white. Sometimes pressure will cut circles into the coating if you are not careful but generally it is wrong tool to remove any coatings.
We strip first then clean with turbo and see how it looks. We strip one more time and detail it in corners, next to baseboards etc with small "tooth" like brush and then we clean it again. That is our proses.

The only thing I was told when I purchased one was, if I use a lower psi
machine I had the option of placing a smaller type nozzle or spray tips in
them.
