Hi.  The management of a local hotel asked me to remedy some elevators that have been highly crystallized.  Essentially, the crystallization has burned away some of the veining in the marble to a degree and the owners think it looks ragged.  I explained what was happening to the marble and told them that crystallizing the elevators is a bad idea. In any event, I have never had to re-hone and polish crystallized marble and am concerned what will happen when I do this.  I could do a test, but I am concerned even what will happen if I do a test.  I don't want to leave an area that looks different than the surrounding marble.
Thanks,
Baird
