If you want to cut the floor faster you may want to use 50 metal lippage tool then 100 metals then drop back to 50 resin 120 , 220 400 ,you can try to polish after 400  with 5 X polishing powders , if it does not get the shine and clarity you are looking for go to 800 then polish with 5 X polishing powders.

Cut it flat. Usually I begin with 100g metal then upward to 800g resin. Do I need to go higher with the resins before using compound?

Tim,

Are you looking to cut the warped tile flat? Or are you looking to just hone and polish the stone?
