Thats a tough call..If he is paying you as a consultant to do the test, than you have to tell them what the products are. I wouldnt tell him where you bought them. Now if you want to do the work, that another story. Tell him the products are properitity and you will provide msds etc when  you are awarded the job.

Did a report for a builder regarding some sandstone resort condos (150) which have Indian sandstone and they cant keep clean, the owners want it protected better for easier cleaning.

Now they want me to present sealing samples to do the work, which I have done on some loose tiles. I brought in a few things to try from RJSC that look great (Tk6 and Stone Hardener 3).

I want to present the samples now in my capacity as a service provider, keep my samples private (maybe). Don’t want to provide all the info just to have the job go out to bid with what I recommended to be specified.

The builder, who I did the consulting report for now wants another report and ALL info (product data sheets, MSDS) regarding what I propose to use, but if I do a report then he is paying for that information and has the right to use it as bid specifications.

What should I do?
