Hi Guys,
It has been brought to my attention that there has been a lot of misuse on the Discussion Group lately. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the guidelines for the discussion group:
Guidelines:
-
This is a private discussion list, which means that only invited or approved members are allowed to join.
- Please do not use the discussion group for personal conversations… Keep it professional!
- You may submit photos or other attachments. Limit the size of the attachment to under 1 megabyte.
- Reply if you want to contribute to the current topic. Start a new discussion if it is a different topic.
- Visit the archives to search / view previous threaded discussions.
- You can change preferences to DIGEST version which would mean you get one email per day with all the threaded messages contained in it.
- All links for the discussion group will be listed on the footer of each discussion group email message which makes it easy to click on to:
-
reply
- start a new thread
- visit archives
-
change preferences
This is a professional discussion group that many of the Partners rely on for learning and support. Please do not post anything that is not a true support question or answer for the educational benefit of all. Remember that many of our Partners stop to check their emails when they get them, so frivolous ones can be not just frustrating to get, they cheapen the value of this important Partner benefit.
I don't monitor the discussion group. Fred Hueston and John Freitag are our Technical Directors that monitor the discussions to provide answers to questions and make sure no one is giving out blatantly bad information. It adds to their load to have tocontinually read the messages in the thread and it is a waste of their time to find there is nothing more than banter. We don't want this very valuable discussion group to ever be anything but professional and helpful to all.
If you would like to have an unstructured forum just to discuss among yourselves, I can install a bulletin board type of forum. Your feedback on this would be appreciated.
