Hello Partners,

A very interested potential customer in Baton Rouge is inquiring about flattening this 4 yr old travertine floor in his home that was very poorly installed. It totals roughly 2000 sq ft downstairs, throughout multiple areas mostly open, and 300 sq ft upstairs in a master bathroom.  From the pictures you can see multiple types of stone and stone designs downstairs, and there are glass tiles embedded in the installation upstairs. They also show varying lippage thickness.  This one goes a bit beyond my experience level.  Is there any potential problems flattening with the multiple stones downstairs?  How would you recommend handling the glass upstairs?  Are here there any times where the lippage is just too thick to repair?  I've gotten great advice from many of you on flattening polished marble before but I don't know if all the same techniques apply in flattening travertine.  All advice on how to approach and price this one would be appreciated as I'd sure like to provide him with a good quality quote since he's very much interested in restoration than replacement.  Thanks very much in advance.
