hi armando,
this sounds more like a white botticino to me. i have done a lot of carrera and never had an issiue getting it to an amazingly loud shine and reflection
if it is botticino then then go all the way up to 1500 then use MB 12 its hot, its controllable, and it works every time. nothing else out there can compare to the shine mb 12 creates on all marbles including light and darks.

Are you sure it's marble because it doesn't sound like it. You can always try the acid test. If 5X powder doesn't work I would try bringing it up (try 800 grit test area but you may have to go higher) and using white granite polishing powder along with crystallizer. There are also products on the market for polishing ceramic that may work but I would first try the granite polish.

I haven’t jumped into the discussion group too often before but would like to start using this more frequently.
In the 12 or so years I’ve been involved in stone restoration some funny Carrera appears that I usually end up getting frustrated over. Perhaps you guys have as well and can offer some assistance.
The normal x powder finish after grinding has no normal effect on it. Crystallizing procedures also work marginally if at all.
Usually you are faced with a complete resin pad procedure all the way to 3000 in order to have an effect.
In the past I have embarrassed myself with the client all too often by not being able to provide more than a so so result on this stuff.
Job has been butchered by someone else about ten years ago. Scratches aren’t the issue. About 1500 sq feet.
Haven’t honed too many existing polished marble jobs –only re polished Any tricks??
Help!!
