Stuart,
I would recommend contacting Fred Hueston he has several labs he
is works with . if the granite is rusting many granites have natural iron
deposits in them and over time will oxide. Other time I have seen polished
granite take on a rusty look for a contractor that has honed the granite and
then tried to crystallize the granite before it totally dried.

I have a customer that wants to have his granite tested. It
is on the outside of a building and rusting.
Does anyone know a lab that will test the stone and identify
its components.
The stone is a granite that is quarried in Israel.
