Looks to me like it is a brushed finish. You may need to brush it up to a degree before you polish. If you use only diamonds it could change it to something it is not intended to be.

Subject: [sccpartners] Hone and polish
Hi partners,
I want to hone and polish this floor. It dosnt have a flat finish and the marble is rounded at the edges. Can I hone with resin diamonds the same as I would with flat finish? There are scraches and etch marks that need to come out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
