Kevin if you have dry diamond pads put them on your makita and try to go dry last 3 steps with higher speed like 2.5 - 3 on the dialer seting

I cannot tell much from these pictures, but if the stone is not reacting to 5x then I would try to polish it like granite using the the white granite polishing powders.
