We use ours(20 inch ) on terrazzo and concrete-we don't do much concrete-but the floating heads on the lavina work well on terrazzo and concrete. Lately we have had alot of terrazzo in locations with limited electric so we have been running swing machines which work just fine if you set up your machines to follow the contour of the floor(absorbing pads between the diamonds and the drivers).
We pretty much use or samich/klindex swing machines machines for stonework.
The swing machines we use are 2.5 and 4 hp models so we have the option of using dry polishing compounds and techniques.

I like to grind until we are showing fresh rock...thats just the way i do it. , not recommended for everyone.  This is the lowest we have ever started, normally we start at 70.
