That looks like black ab honed
Darker granites are usually pretty dense so the rust is just on the surface.
It looks to me like something was sitting on top of the bench for a while.
Least thats my guess-a good acidic cleaner should do the trick for the rust.
Honing powders(280g) and follow up with alkaline or mildecide whichever it requires.
Then maybe a coating of car wax if it looks right
