Hi all,
Try Sentinal 747 adhesive remover straight - scrub with a black pad. Add water as needed. Use wood shavings to dry up stripped/mastic residue pick up then throw in trash. 50's after that.

If the mastic is thick enough and it is gooey, you can freeze it with carbon dioxide and it will make it brittle and it will scrape right up.

Hi all,

I have run into a mess.  52 year old house. Client removed old cork flooring. Mastic was left. I had the concrete and mastic tested for asbestos and it is negative. We need to remove this mastic. We dry ground with 50's but it was barely cutting it.  So we grabbed some mastic stripper and saw it was helping a bit.  It ended up spreading all over and making a more sticky mess.  Does anybody have any tips on how I can remove this 50 year old mastic?
