I would go with 25 gr segments aether wet or dray and planetary Head machine.Depending on glue i use aether single bar trapezoid segments or double bar and no weights. If the glue is gumming up when the diamonds get hot i dump a bag or two of damp sand from home depot on the floor and that send cleans the diamonds and i to heavy for vacuum so it stays on the floor. I hope that helps
As strange as this may sound I recently removed mastic from carpet 20 + years old with believe this just plain HOT Water. We had the same results as you have when trying chemicals.

If the mastic is thick enough and it is gooey, you can freeze it with carbon dioxide and it will make it brittle and it will scrape right up.

Hi all,
I have run into a mess. 52 year old house. Client removed old cork flooring. Mastic was left. I had the concrete and mastic tested for asbestos and it is negative. We need to remove this mastic. We dry ground with 50's but it was barely cutting it. So we grabbed some mastic stripper and saw it was helping a bit. It ended up spreading all over and making a more sticky mess. Does anybody have any tips on how I can remove this 50 year old mastic?
