Barrry ,

Agree with Fred, make sure it is not a Doctored stone first . then  try polishing it with granite polishing powders and crystallizer.

How old is this floor?

Before you make the assumption that the tile is dyed i would test it to make sure it is doctored. You can order a test kit directly from me. All STP partners are automatic dealers for Dr Freds products Just send me an email or call.  If the tile is dyed, Tenax has a product to re-dye the stone. If the stone is not dyed, than you will need to polish the granite with a standard granite polish

Hello partners,
I received a call from a potential customer regarding gray spots on his absolute granite floor tiles (they are relatively new) .  He thinks they are the result of some household cleaning liquid.  My guess is that this can be the the dyed absolute granite that comes from India or China.  The spots are spread over a few tiles, but not the whole floor.  Regardless, how can dyed tiles be restored?  Honing/ polishing would remove all of the dye and leave the floor lighter and not "absolute black" anymore.  Can the damaged tiles be dyed, and if so, do you think they would match the other tiles?  He doesn't think they were sealed.  A photo is attached.
Thanks........Barry
