Thanks everyone, I appreciate the suggestions.
Paint striper for sure.
Maybe use some honing powder to clean and establish uniform look.
Maybe a nicse exterior rated color enhancer to richen the.color.On Oct 19, 2012 1:50 PM, "John Freitag" <jfreitag@thestoneandtileschool.com> wrote:PJ,
Clean those areas with some paint stripper and the poly urethane will be removed. If the rest of the steps are dirty you may need to clean the rest of the steps using an alkaline based cleaner.

Subject: [sccpartners] Polyurethane on Granite
Hey partners,
A client has a granite step outside his house and some hardwood floor guys spilled a bunch of polyurethane in sections, causing an uneven coloring. (I actually think the polyurethane sections look better than the otherwise worn granite, but that is just my opinion... :) )Do any of you know any tricks on how to get this out aside from a normal poultice? Also, since it is outside, I am unsure of the best way to apply the poultice, as it will be exposed to the elements.
I attached some pictures. Thanks!
