Yeah-we have never had much success with edging machines. Nothing seems to beat a angle grinder and a cupwheel.
When I was a kid I used to work for a trucking company loading trucks by hand of heavy goods . The guy I worked for used to run around when we were busy yelling " The only thing I wanna see in this building is asses and elbows"
Whenever I have to get down on my hands and knees to edge I can still hear that SOB screaming.

I agree. Nothing beats a hand edger for concrete. Esp. on residential floors. I paid 9K for the Extrema and havent used it 3x. it is just sitting collecting dust.

Nope I really dont, we have done warehouses from 1300 sq ft to 65000, walgreens drug stores, and some jobs in jamaica(carribean) and nothing beats a good man doing an edge. Thats why the highest paid, and the employee with most privilages was my angle grinder guy

Hi Dayron. So you think that a machine like the scarab is not as effective as just using an angle grinder on the edges?

Tried them all and the way I do edges on concrete hand tools or try to convince customer to go with edge tint from ameripolish ( offer lower price for tint, higher price for polished edges

No. But i first bought the termite, but it broke the first job. I switch for the viper it does pretty good for edges. Not so good on the open areas. I run a 30 and 25 inch Lavina for the open areas. I love the Lavina.

Yes I have one.  the older 1 speed speed machine. Gets real close to the walls .my machine is too light and too fast. new machine have var speed machines.

They get under cabinets real good. Mine has a water hose attachment . new units don’t have water feed connectors. Tools size is odd size and have to use there tooling.

I think there more for cement polishing? There good for knocking down high spots. Due to more pressure on the high spots but don’t get the low areas very good .

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has a Werkmaster machine or has tried one out? Do they really work? Are they as good as they say they are?
