In the past I have gone into these jobs and clean the new grout with a brush on my floor machine , this breaks the loose sand from the grout line,I then seal with a good solvent based sealer and allow the surface to dry totally, then gone in and hone if necessary and then polish. You can never grantee the customer a scratch free floor but this works in 0ver 90 % of these cases.

 

If you done want to do that cut the grout and replace it with non sanded grout depending upon the width of the grout line.

 

Alpha tool make a great saw for removing grout with a dust collecter on it.

i keep getting calls  on brand new marble installs with sanded grout, where the grouting has scratched the marble..All i know is to flatten and repolish the floors, with maybe regouting the floor. are there other options ?
