Before you do the poultice, as it will be long and costly (in
time) , get a practice piece of the same granite and recreate the area in your
garage/ shop. Get a torch , the best is the type that is wide and gives a
decent flame rather than a plumbers torch. After you remove the caulk it
is possible to heat the remaining silicone out just as you would do oil.
What you need to practice is no to remove it, as it does but you have to
practice to not crack or pop the granite and not burn the house down. And
please don’t cool it off by whipping it down with water, that’s how
flamed granite is created. But get it right and you will save yourselves
ton of time

Hi Zev
You will have to remove all of the caulk if you haven't
already done so and then poultice (numerous times) with methylene chloride.
Make sure to follow all safety precautions.

Hi I caulked around a granite counter top and some of the
caulk got onto the granite. The customer called me that her granite is stained.
How do I go about removing this. Thanks for your advice.
