To all

The pricing I see around the country varies in price depending upon the number of companies doing the grout cleaning and colorsealing . the prices I see start at a low of $1.30 sq. ft. up to $3.75 per sq. ft.

The size of the tiles also need to be taken into consideration are you doing 2x2 , 12x12 18x18 this will change the pricing,

The good news is that depending upon the systems you use to clean the direct cost for cleaning should be between labor cost between .30 to .40 per sq. chemical cost ranges .03 to .05  from colorseal cost between  .10 to .12 per sq ft. this is based  upon 12 x 12 tile. Once you know your cost then apply your profit margins

Carl,

The pricing for color sealing would be based upon the your cost .. I price based upon the labor cost , material & supply costs  for the job. Then add my profit margin onto the job to cover my overhead expenses and my profits.

The colorseal can be applied to non- sanded grout BUT  it will need to cure longer before you wipe off the excess. If the grout lines are not recessed the colorseal will be a challenge. The customer needs to be told that grout lines that are flush with the surface the colorseal may wear off.

I would only use Grout Perfect products.

I would probably do a light acid cleaning on the grout to open some of the pores within the grout prior to color sealing.  Seeing this is a granite floor you need not worry about any etching from the acid cleaning. Be sure to neutralize the grout line prior to applying the sealer

Pricing out a 10,000 sq ft granite and marble mix refinishing job, but they want the grout recolored also.

I know my pricing for the refinishing but my question is what is the going rate for grout recoloring mixed in with a job like this.

Thank you
