I dont want to sound like a broken record.
Potentially that could be one easy money maker.
If in fact it is a sealer that etched.
Just test using an acidic compound like 5x, diaglo or MB 12.
Find out if it was sealed
becareful however it could be dyed.
I would bet it is sealer though.

Is this something you could fix and if so, can you estimate the cost of doing so?
