I have a customer who has about 1000 square feet of
sandstone in a flagstone design, on a
cement slab and with mortar joints. The installation is
outside on a covered patio. The
residence in located in New Mexico along the Rio Grande
river and the water table is
about 8 10 feet. The owner want a finish on the sandstone
and shes being very specific
about what she wants. I not aware of any products that
would meet her expectations, so
I thought I would ask for recommendations.
Heres what
she wants:
1.) The stone darkened wet look
2.) The stone sealed
3.) A shinny finish
All of the products that Im aware of are topical and will
not allow vapor transmissions.
I see problems with applying anything other than a
penetrating sealer or enhancer.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, work is scarce here and I
want to
explore every possible job.
