Hi Tony,

yes we do after stripping a floor once or twice and there might still be some wax that is not completely removed
we just did this last week on 2500 ft of limestone. spread some stripper out in a 10 by 10 and add 150 grit honing
powder to it. be carefull not to use to much powder you will dry up you stripper thats on the floor. work it with a weight
loaded floor machine and a maroon lightning strip pad. we think it work great because removing all the wax from the
pores of the stone is such a beeeaaarrrrch..........

Hi John,
No we are not trying to strip and hone at th same time. We have been getting a number of stone floors especially travertine that have been waxed. We strip them first and then hone. Sometimes there will be some wax that you don,t see until the floor completely dries. I was wondering if putting a little bit of stripper in the water might help?
Thanks Tony

No I haven’t wondering why you would want to?

If you are trying to strip and hone at the same time the stripper would probably coat over the honing powders and not have much if any cutting effect.

Has anyone ever used honing powder and wax stripper together?
