All of you need an image editing software to resize, crop, change dpi (to screen vs. hi-res, etc.) your images. Photoshop has long been the standard and it's what I use, but there is an open source (i.e. FREE!) image editing program that you can download. Go to
gimp.org and download it. It has just about all the features Photoshop has.
