Good question!
If truly means perfect than probably not.
I have had the pleasure of regrinding floors after someone else was there first.
Too many unknown factors.
I wouldnt promise anything but doing your best.
The jobs we did were better but not perfect.
The degree of difficulty is high on a job like that.
Protect yourself with a good contract.
I don't see any downside to grinding calacatta.
Do a test.

Hi Stu
Thank you for the response. But, is it possible to remove ALL of the waviness and make a TRUELY flat polished reflection? Also, Is there any down side to grinding Calcutta marble?

I think using a stiff/ridgid pad driver and no flex in the diamonds like mike said is the way to go.
I might add starting with 120 metals though 400 metals may help.
Check flatness after your first cut. After metals go to 220 resin and up.
Test an area.
Down play results and over perform.

That is the old school type grinder that uses a small grinding head with 3 Frankfurt stones.

Hi Mike

The floor is a new installation it has never had any restoration work done on it. I have another question to ask to all the partners. Can it be flatten to flat reflection with a 17" swing machine?

Looks like the floor has been flattened and is just super wavy. You'll need an Achilli to fix that.

Hi Partners

I have a job that is 36x36 Calcutta marble. The marble is badly warped (please see attached pictures).  Can 36" warped Calcutta marble floor be TRUELY Grinded, honed and polished to a FLAT reflection?  Also, Is there any down side to grinding Calcutta marble? How does 5x polish out on it?

Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated!!
