Hi Bill:

That what they said also but a few segments of the diamonds fell away from the velcro. They still worked but the lady at the office said no problem and mailed me a couple to replace the couple with missing segments.

I purchase more velcro drivers from them so I don't worry about them breaking, I just switch out the cushioned driver they sell with the pucks still on it . Its all good know.

Thanks,

Randy

Randy, I just Went through some training with Dana.  The cheetah pads and pucks are meant to crack and suspend on the velcro or pad that allow them to make better contact with the stone and that is not a defect.

Subject: [sccpartners] My 2 cents on the Cheetah pads and pucks, why I purchased them.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Stone:

I wanted to give a thumbs up for the cheetah pads and pucks. We heard about these like you all did and we have always been looking for a better system for honed and the different degrees of satin finishes.

I saw the advertising for high gloss also. We are very happy with our system for that.

But our main reason was for the honed and satin finishes. I must say we have only used them on about 5 jobs so far they are perfect for these finishes from our experience and most jobs we do, prefer a satin type finish. I think there are three degrees of satin finish.. low, medium and high satin.

In my opinion they are well worth the money to create these finishes.  I had a small problem with a couple pucks snapping apart while removing them from the velcro but, I called the office and they sent me new ones right away at no charge.

So for what it's worth, they do great for what I need... I've not tried any high gloss finishes with these, but like I said we purchased for another purpose.

Hope this is a help to someone.
