If you use topical coating in wet areas you asking for trouble. Topical coating will not allow the moisture to evaporate, there fore stone may star failing and topical coats will start blistering and piling of. You may get away with it on the floor but never in the shower.

The customer is insisting on Phil using a topical product on the restored marble to protect it from etching.
