Carl,
You can purchase brushed from Tenax that will give the finish you want. These brushes will fit your hand machine. Usually with most antique finish you need to open the surface with 50 or 60 grit diamond then run your brushed up through the grits to achieve the finish and bring back some color into the stone.

What would you use for a countertop?

You will need a good set of antique brushes.
Agressive ones and a strong machine with variable speed is best.
In our experience a small light duty machine wont pull the lower grits like 36 and 46.
Need good rpm for hogher grits to make sheeny if need be.
We use klindex hercules planetary or levigator.
Both 220 and can be weighted.

Has anybody had the opportunity to change the finish on granite from polished to leathered or antiqued?
If so what system have they used?
Thank you
