Freddie,
The Jerusalem gold polishes up really quick while the other two marbles are not as quick.
What we do is either spend a little less time with the 5X and compensate with a crystallizer to get a more uniform finish.
Or-sometimes using crystallizer at the point your at will help make the surfaces look more uniform.
Another option is to use MB-22.
Without any hype or BS the way the product is formulated should give you a more uniform finish because it releases less acid while you are working it.
You may have to rehone from 400 grit and up then repolish with the 22.
It is used the same way as 5X and you shouldnt need to crystallize.
Nice Job Flattening looks really good!

Hi Lorne,

This is what I did. I grinded this floor with 70 metal, 120 Copper, 50 To 1800 resin, then polished with 5x and only used about 1/2 to 3/4 of an oz. on 10ft. Do you think it is still possible to orange peel? The white marble and the dark marble did not orange peel. They polished out great on all areas. The only one that I had a problem with was the light brown ones.

You may not have honed to a high enough grit or just over polished it because, from what I can see in the pictures, it appears to have "orange peeling".  Generally after it is already burnt, you have to re-hone to get a polish where you can see detail in the reflection.  To figure out how far down to re-hone i would test a small area.  There have been stones where I just used the last grit I worked with and spent a little more time and it worked because the stone was soft enough, where others I needed to go down and work my way back up again.  This is just my opinion based on what I think I see in the pictures.

Subject: [sccpartners] How do I get the best polish on this floor?

Hi to everyone,

I need help! Does anyone know how to polish this floor better than what I did? There are 4 different types of stones that polish out different do each other. How do I get all stones to polish out with the same detailed reflection?
