I like the super glue idea. Tepox is actually what they sold me. The pectro can just says apply and wipe off testify after a few minutes. May have to apply twice. So not much to go on.

The uniblacks are good-we use them for old buildings with black marble edges that are trashed or beat up black terrazzo cove moldings.
Its a dye and a color enhancer.
Not sure I would use it on granite counter top. Tepox(by Tenax) may be a better choice-that stuff is pretty amazing. But it isn't going to come off anytime soon. Then you can over polish with MB20 or crystallizer.
Test on a spare piece for results.
Pectro is a coating and it will enhance colors -you may have to do the whole surface to match-again do some testing.
Easy for the sales guy to say just rub on. Actually scary-I don't remember using too many products I could just rub on besides bug dope and sun screen!
I did some work on an exotic yellow counter top from Brazil that was filled with micro fissures. we spent the whole day applying ca glue and shaving down. Did a nice job but was a slow process. Customer was happy.

Try Tenax Uniblack 1 or 2. They've worked for me in the past .

Subject:RE: [sccpartners] Polishing resin coated granite

Am going out to see if I can add some black color to some granite where dye was removed due to some iron out or something similar that the client accidentally spilled on the counter. This one has a resin coating.  Granite city tools sent me some enhancer along with black dye and told me to just rub it in. In another situation there are micro fissures showing up all over a yellow granite counter. They sold me tenax pectro and told me to just rub it in. I don't get a sense, however, that those guys really know much about it. They seem to be just reading to me what is on the label. Anyway, these resin coatings are pretty lame.

Baird,
If it is slabs that have been resined in the usual fashion(if that's usual)
As long as you don't get to aggressive and remove the color your fine.
If there not  in too bad shape just use a crystallizer or MB-20 which ever works better.

Hi. I have come across a few recent projects involving cleaning and gloss enhancing granite that has been factory coated with resin (not sure polishing is the correct term). Any ideas on dealing with this. Assuming things like crystallizer and MB-20 will not work, but maybe I'm over thinking it. These pieces aren't in too bad shape. Thanks
