I had absolute black granite tiles installed on a floor. After grouting was complete, there was a film or haze all over all of the tiles. It does not even look like granite any more. This haze is not on the surface of the tile, i.e. it can not be rubbed off or scraped off and you cannot feel anything on the surface. I don't know if the stains have impregnated the tiles or if the surface has been etched. Is there a way to remove the haze and restore the tile back to its original finish?
