This workshop will be presented by John Freitag, who has a proven track record of building a stone restoration business producing over $1 Million in annual sales and blowing away the competition. 

 

John operated the largest Marblelife franchise in the US from 1991 until 2004 then became President of Marblelife worldwide operations from 2004 until December 2008, where his goal and objective was to help new and existing franchise owners become successful and profitable operators in the Stone Restoration and Maintenance business.  

 

In this workshop, we’ll discuss…

 

 

You will learn…

 

  1. How to accurately determine how long it will take to complete a job from start to finish using a simple system to calculate your productivity and why this is so critical to cost / profit management. You will learn how to bid a job and know you are bidding the time needed to complete the job regardless of its size.
  2. How to determine the total square footage 1 technician can complete in one day and be dead-on accurate.
  3. How to diamond hone using only 1 to 2 diamond grits and achieve the finish your customer is looking for.
  4. How to determine your direct production costs so you can bid your jobs based upon actual costs, not on a guesstimate of what your cost are going to be.
  5. How to price jobs and determine your profit margins. We will discuss what profit margin you need to MAKE MONEY and a simple formula to use when pricing jobs.
  6. Advantages and disadvantages of 1 man crews versus a 2 man crew and how crew size determines your cost, selling price and profits.
  7. What you MUST have in your sales agreement / proposals and what you need to leave out in residential and commercial agreements.
  8. The importance of NETWOKING. Who to include in your networking sphere that will deliver referral business to you and what organizations should you belong to.
  9. When making sales call what you should say and what questions you should be asking.  Are the questions the same for residential and commercial properties?
  10. Selling after care products to your customers. Are you leaving money on the table?  

 

This workshop is for restoration contractors that are in the business and want to improve their productivity and profits. There will be both hands on training and lecture / discussion.
