They are all good, I usually have all these on hand
Acetone
Methyl Hydrate
Methyl Chloride
Lacquer thinner
Coating stripper (DuPont)
Goof off
Tooth paste mixed with baking soda
Gasoline
I tried so many things I don’t even know anymore but I
must have 50 products on one shelf just for that
And it really depends on the marker and the surface
Oh yeah and if it’s a Sharpie use rubbing alcohol

You wil need to use a
stong solvent. I would try going to where they sell paint and find a heavy duty
solvent which would be a paint remover. You can use flour as a poultice

My son decided it would be a good idea to draw something on
a friends honed marble floor, magic marker which he thought was erasable ink. I
have only made one attempt, lacquer thinner and paper towel poultice. Not much
difference. I am still trying to source materials here in Australia, not easy.
Help me out here Fred! Is a jar of commercially available poultice any better
than a home remedy. What should I try next. I think I could get DE easy enough.
