I did a job for a lady who is an interior decorator and actively involved with her association! She asked me if I would be interested in doing a presentation of my services.

That's amazing! How did you get that meeting!! It is something I always wanted to do.   I would like to know how you went about getting the meeting.

Here in Montreal I deal with the best Interior designers, guys that have worked for Cirque du Soleil, Bronfman, and Celine Dion.

One thing I learned dealing with them is that there is no norm, some like it technical some don’t.

Many are unpractical, making our business very complicated, like the mixing of marble tiles with wood inserts.

But they can also be the greatest assets

I would talk about , and these are only a few examples

Stones and the differences

Marble , Granite, Slates, limestones

Finishes

High Polish, honed, Brushed, Flamed, sandblasted

Protection

Impregnators, Color enhancers

Maintenance

Preventive and care

Stone soaps, Acid etching, oil staining, Poulticing

Make them understand as well that they can contact you for anything and be ready for all questions

No opinions, just facts, designers deal with people of certain means

As one told me don’t tell me it can’t be done

Give me 3 options

And a solution to my request

Antonio

All,

I have been asked to make a presentation in front of a group of interior decorators. I will be one of a number of vendors introducing my services..

1st off all I have no public speaking experience, but don't want to pass up this opportunity. Any recommendations on what I should talk about or perhaps someone has a presentation they might let me use!

Thanks,

Roger Konarski
