Dear Partners,
I have been a scc partner now for a few months and I would like to call upon you for some suggestions. Though relatively new in the stone restoration business, at 33 yrs, I have been maintaining floors since I was 15. Recently I have had great success with grinding and honing marble, travertine, and concrete. Brian Yager gave me great tips and I'm sure some of you can offer great advice.
I am now looking at a 350 sq ft black marble job that will need to be grinded and brought to a polish. I have not worked on black marble and I am wondering if there is anything unique I could face? I have never used my variable speed grinder on walls as of yet. Can someone give me tips on how this is done, esp as far as how do you keep it wet? I have been using MB powder polish with good success. Could I expect the same here? Is a $6/ft bid unreasonable?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Jason
