Although this looks a lot like the natural breccias, agglomerate or engineered stone is often treated like other natural marbles. The sealer may be a high percentage acrylic which might be little tough to strip. You will have to try a couple of strippers, I use Pioneer and NCL products the most. I have maintained an early engineered floor for the last 22 years at a local casino. It still shines right up with a 5x. However, be aware that more aggressive than 5x can open up the resins and cause pores where the top of little bubbles in the resin are ground off. That can be a nightmare and should be avoided unless the customer has deep pockets. Always test any products or processes, but this stone should respond well.

Has anyone dealt with this particular product? The following information was provided by the homeowner:

Product name is “Marmatec”; it was made by Dal tile in the 90s. It is an Agglomerate Marble made up of small pieces

Of marble fused together using a resin.

The problem: Floor was cleaned with vinegar which removed the gloss. The homeowner subsequently used an Armstrong sealer to restore shine and over time has

Resulted in a buildup. The homeowner wants the sealer removed and the floor restored to it’s original condition.

Do I treat an agglomerate floor any different from a solid marble floor? I’ve attached pictures. Image3 shows the damage the vinegar did.
