Deep scratches (depends how deep) can be removed using silicon carbide sandpaper or electroplated discs-they are flexible and come 70 grit and aboveTry 4 inch 80 grit silicone carbide disc dry on a semi or flexible driver. You wont need to use a lot of pressure. If that doesn't take it out it will at least give you a good idea how deep it is.If you are worried about the pressure you can always brace a 2x4 under the sink .--On Wed, May 28, 2014 at 10:26 PM, John Freitag <jfreitag@thestoneandtileschool.com> wrote:
Tony ,
you can hone this sink, use a 2 or 3 inch back up pad on you hand machine and get some flexible diamonds pads. I have used the metal back 220, 400 800, there I enough give to the diamond you can make it follow the contour of the sink then polish with 5X using the 2 or 3 inch back up pad and a 5 inch hair pad to polish.

Subject: Marble Sink Bowls
I have a client with marble bathroom sink bowls. There are deep scratches inside the bowls.
I do not want to put a lot of pressure on them because they might break at the base.
They cannot be removed. Any ideas on how to repair the scratches.
