Can you get a piece to test to see what your dealing with. That's a lot of etching going on.
Can you tell if it scratches easily-can you etch it with acid.
The panels we worked on had a similar look but I cant really see your pic that well.

On vertical application like this with very light etching we have had great success with the 3,000-8,000 grit spinergy pad and the lightest amount of 5x. We make a paste with oxyclean or any detergent and lightly sprinkle the 5x, like your salting your steak, we then polish wet to dry using either grit pad or for very high shine like this we will use both. It's worked well for us.

No need for diamonds in disk form, an etch this light will probably polish out with hogs hair and 5x.
