well acid is not going to give you a uniform color. I have been staining for years now. Mostly I just do like a 100 metal cut then stain with the Ameripolish system, I use the colorjuice...then I seal with an acrylic sealer to lock in the color. There are a million stains out there

Vortex has the dot system but I think John is right by suggesting a topical colored sealer.
If the concrete isn't damaged or in need of any repair you might consider just using a colored epoxy as well.
Bonstone makes a commercial grade epoxy that will work well on garage floors.
Sherwin williams makes a concrete stain that goes on like paint then you can coat it. They have some good coatings.
Ameripolish has a multitude of products and they are great to speak with a s well.

My next question is sealer. It looks like most concrete sealers are topical; must I use a sealer specifically formulated for concrete?
