I have used the 2 part product and do not care for it. If the instructions are state 2 part liquid and 7 parts of powder, then secure a measuring cup and fill the cup with 7 cups of powder and then add 2 cups of liquid.
I prefer to use the traver fill from VMC out of Dallas, TX the product is a powder and you just add water. The pot life is short 5 to 7 minutes.
Hone the floor up to at least 220 using a grout float, float the filling in all holes. Depending upon the number of holes we often float over the entire floor after the 220 hone.
Allow the fill to cure overnioght, then the next day come back and clean off with a natural hair pad and then polish. If you are going to hone to 400 then hone the floor with the 400 and then polish or do whatever finish you want.
This fill from VMC is an easy fill to use.

Subject: Traverfiil method
Hello partners. We are working on the restoration of a travertine floor. I recently purchased a gallon kit of Bonstone Traverfill, which is a two part material involving both powder and liquid. I tried to find the recent thread where this was discussed, but for some reason I cannot find it. The instructions are fairly vague. They suggest either a mixture of 1 .5 liquid to 5 parts powder by weight, or 2 parts liquid to 7 parts powder by weight. There has to be a better way to gauge the mixture.
Also, they do not suggest a curing time.
We have cut the floor to 100 grit and my plan is to test some of the areas. Am I on track if I fill after 100, cut the floor with 200 and then continue honing or polishing as necessary? How long do I have to let this stuff dry?
Thanks
Baird
