I like the idea of a brushed finish but you have to have the right equipment and see what they like.
Those finishes actually seem better to maintain then just honed.
If you were going to polish just the u ba tuba you have to start where the hone is at probably lower than 800.
Not an easy job with a makita .
Mb20 and or crystallizer will work for final polish
I would run a 11 inch machine if possible

Sell them on honing and  polishing the whole floor, I can see where someone has hone into the flamed tile next to it. Or maybe diamond brush polish the whole floor into a shinny leather finish.

Guys,
One of my customers asked me to provise estimate for polishing granite floor in their lobby. I think they  are uba tuba and originally tiles had honed finish and they are 2ft x 2ft tiles. Normally it would not be difficult but this floor is laid in checkerboard pattern mixed with flamed gray granite.  I explained to her that it will.be expensive since each tile would have to be done individually with hand polisher. Her condo association is looking for nicer, cleaner look as honed granite looks pale and dirty. I talked her into darkening only the honed tiles by adding some color enhancing sealer but she would prefer to get a little gloss to it. Would crystalizer only or mb20 work or I would have to hone those tiles to like 800grit first? How would you approach this project?
