Wow-I thought there was something on it-if the etch marks were caused by an aggressive acid such as Hydrofluoric or similar it may be next to impossible to remove.
Did the 46 grit get them out?
I would charge that job by the day -whatever your day rate is-
I would have them sign a hold harmless waiver.

Hi Stuart

I saw the counter top today.

The etch marks where very deep.

I used a Legend Counter Top  machine

I cut them with a 60 grit resin pad. Took too long. 5” disk

Used a 3x 70 copper metal pad I got from you good cut still took a long time 4”.

Used a 3x50 metal bond I got from you. did a lot better but a bit slow. 4”

Used a 3x46 super abrasives 3”  cut the stone at a good rate but left deep scratch marks.

There is about 150 sf ft of counter top hone finish about 220. grit

How much is a good price for removing deep etch marks.

I will be trying a 10” master craft floor buffer with some weight tomorrow.

Seems to be something on the surface possibly-what is that thing that looks like an etch mark.

I would guess a coating of sealer or some topical crap.

Probably look better if you pull that off.

Have you ran a razor blade across it.

You may be able to just strip all that and polish it up with MB-20.

You could crystalize as well-But I think MB-20 may work better in this case.

I got a call to polish the counter top and they say its Bule Granite.

Is there any information on how to polish this counter top.
