I removed tape marks from the honed slate by using horse hair pad on makita and goof off. I planned on using 300 grit honing power with goof off but thankfully didn't have to.

Look into the floor  using a magnifying glass, the tape may have pulled

Fred Hueston and I had a case where the minerals pull from the stone and no
matter how we honed, what chemical we used we could not remove what appeared
to be the tape lines.
The magnifying glass will answer this question. If the tape did not damage
the stone try mineral spirits or alcohol.

Client just called me tape left these marks,  they tried acetone and
nothing. I'm going to do a demo with 400 grit honing powder.
Any suggestions ?
